Grandma Duty

My daughter had some things to do today so grandma duty it was, I had bought these really cute tooth fairy bags from

They loved them, well they needed a bigger bag to put this bag in so the project begins. First it was off to the scrap box...
Now this in itself is a task as there is so many scrapes... We found just the right scrapes, got some pipping and bias tape to match now we just need to sew them so to the sewing room...

They do such good work, well at least they put their little hearts into it.
Look at that we have a start, it wont be long now.
Look at that I just folded over the top gave it a little decorative stitch, pipped the two pieces together added bias tape for the strap top stitch everything. This was very simple and they turned out so cute...
As for the girls here is their finished work and I say job well done.
It was a very enjoyable day.

My new Toy!

If you are an artist you know the frustration of trying to explain a design that you see so clearly, to someone that has no vision. They think they no what they want, you get it; but they are unsure you know it goes on and on.
Well that is the reason for my TOY!

This template allows me to place any combination of fabric into any part of the apron; now my customer can see almost exactly what it is that they are ordering.

I'm so excited, I'm going to start selling kits for those that would prefer to DIY. This is going to make selling those much easier.

Stay tuned I will be doing this with all of my items to make custom so much easier...

Ladies over Fifty

My Husband sent this to me and I LAUGHED HARD it felt good too!!!

I know some of you aren't over 50, some of you aren't even women, but I still thought you'd get a kick out of this.

In case you missed it on 60 Minutes, this is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 50
60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)

“As I grow in age, I value women over 50 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 50 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think.

If a woman over 50 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting.

Women over 50 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 50.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 50 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest.. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk or if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 50 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 50, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’ Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!”

Let's try that again

OK so I need a little, OK a lot! of practice to get this down. I forgot to use my camera that's right no eye candy. How do you write a story without pictures? hahaha! Sorry you are going to have to wait until next week as the restaurant we went to, it deserves photos.

I will get this and it will be worth it.

Update

I guess the year got away from me, now 50 is just around the corner.

I figured it out, what my blog is going to be about (life) haha. but really, my friends and I lets call them the CHEF (owner Q4U) the SAILOR (sales Beckstrand Marine) I'll be the SEAMSTRESS (apron-queen etsy) and sometimes the TROPHY (waitress Olive Garden) yes we are all women! will be going out to dinner every week and you get a blow by blow of our experience and opinion of local restaurants. LUCKY YOU! Now you might ask who are you? well, who are you? that's right we are the same! we are people just like you that needed a reason to justify getting together and this was it...

So you will get an honest opinion from people just like yourself, maybe we know more, maybe not, but we do have opinion's and we are going to share them with you! Stay tuned...♥♥

What made me do it?

I have been content to be the passenger on the back of my husbands Harley for the last 15 years. Well early May 2009 something happened, was is it midlife? Hmmm!!! I was working and my husband went for a ride not like this was anything new. After all it wasn't like an organized ride or anything. But it bothered me I mean it really bothered me, I thought I wish I could go for a ride when ever I wanted to. So I called and scheduled an appt. to take the Riders Edge course. Well Memorial weekend I took the course I passed.

March 2010 my birthday my Husband did it he bought me my own Harley a 2003 100-year anniversary addition Sportster 1200.

I have not rode sense I took the course. So I had my husband drop at the raceway I told him I would practice until I felt like I could ride home. This is when it happened when I was ready and pulled onto the road I felt it! The feeling of power of control of freedom, I felt what it is that makes people ride.

In the next three and a half months I have rode over 1000 miles, I live in Utah and it has been cold so I have rode every minute that I can. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
